Use a fine tooth hacksaw and make cuts straight across the bracket. You may wish to smooth rough edges with a file. Use a 3/32 inch drill bit to drill new holes in the bracket if the ones provided are not positioned for adequate mounting to your door. With the grille in position, use a pencil and mark through the proper mounting hole in a top bracket where you will drill the first hole. Set the grille down and, using a 3/32 inch bit, carefully drill a hole, making sure not to drill completely through the door. Reposition the grille and partially secure with a screw. Set the grille to your pencil line and repeat the process with the other top bracket. Make sure the grille is level. Secure the bracket to the door. Carefully mark and drill the remaining holes and fasten securely with screws.
