The inner housing can be removed from plaster frame to provide access to the junction box. For providing accent and task lighting in non-insulated ceiling or where insulation can be kept 3 inch from housing. Thermal protector deactivates fixture if overheating occurs due to improper lamping or misapplied insulation. Junction box has four 1/2 inch trade size conduit knockouts with true pry-out slots. Ul/cul listed damp location, wet location, feed through covered ceiling with select trims and 1598 luminaire. Certified under astm-e283 for air tight construction.
