FedEx Ground and Air:
In all 50 States HardwareAndTools.com uses a live zoned look-up for FedEx shipping rates. The prices we charge are the published FedEx rate, including the carriers fuel surcharges currently in effect, based on our estimated packed or dimensional weight. Surcharges due to dimensions or weight as marked on selected products are included. From our Shopping Cart simply enter your postal code to get a freight quotation.
At checkout, enter a carrier qualified business address as your ship to and the residential rates quoted in the estimate will be replaced with lower Commercial Rates. Home based business do not qualify for Commercial Rates.

USPS Priority Mail:
We offer USPS Priority Mail an alternate shipping method, primarily for PO Boxes, Military Addresses, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and some rural areas. The USPS tends to be very costly on heavier shipments. Postal packages DO NOT track well en route. We supply a delivery confirmation number on domestic non APO USPS Priority Mail. We include an insurance fee in our charges for USPS orders. The maximum package weight is 70 lbs.

Basic Economy Shipping
Basic Economy Shipping is our lowest cost shipping service for light weight orders under $59. There is a $3.00 per shipment charge plus 25¢ per ounce for shipments under 12 ounces. On orders over 12 ounces there is a base charge of $5.99 per order plus 50¢ per pound in the 48 Contiguous States. DO NOT select Basic Economy if your order is time sensitive as it may delay your order by a couple of days. Orders are staged so that overnight and second day orders ship ahead of Ground and Priority Mail Orders. The slowest methods to select are Basic Economy and Freight Saver, which ship last.

Freight Saver or FREE SHIPPING on Regular and Sale Items: At $59 FREE SHIPPING begins and Freight Saver Allowances are available to street addresses in the 48 contiguous states. We give FREE SHIPPING based on 20 pounds per $100 in our Eastern States (Zones A, B & C) and 12 pounds per $100 in our Western States (D Zone). At $500+ FREE SHIPPING increases by 50%. We give FREE SHIPPING of 30 pounds per $100 in our Eastern Zones and 18 pounds per $100 in our Western Zone. You can Mix and Match over 150,000 products in your cart and save on shipping.

Eastern States Zone A: Extra pounds above our Free Shipping Allowance are priced at 30¢ per pound in DC, DE, MD, NC, NJ, NY, PA, VA and WV.
Eastern States Zone B: Extra pounds above our Free Shipping Allowance are priced at 40¢ per pound in AL, CT, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, ME, MI, NH, OH, RI, SC, TN and VT.
Eastern States Zone C: Extra pounds above our Free Shipping Allowance are priced at 50¢ per pound in AR, FL, IA, LA, MN, MO, MS, and WI.
Western States Zone D: Extra pounds above our Free Shipping Allowance are priced at 60¢ per pound in AZ, CA, CO, ID, KS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SD, UT, TX, WA, WY.

Our Hot Buys Outlet items use a different method to calculate shipping. Hot Buys Outlet items can be ordered with and shipped with Freight Saver items above and Freight Zero items below to reach the $59+ level. On smaller orders Hot Buys Outlet Only shipping starts as low as $2.98 per shipment and never exceeds $5.98 per shipment. At $59+ combined Hot Buys Outlet Orders SHIP FREE to street addresses in the 48 contiguous states.

FREIGHT ZERO SPECIALS ship free to street addresses in the 48 contiguous states, regardless of other items purchased. Like Hot Buys, they do count towards dollars spent to reach the $59 levels. They do not earn additional freight saver allowances.

Cost Plus (heavy or bulky) Products, such as nails, fencing and fertilizer, are Not Freight Saver Qualified. They do not earn a Freight Saver Allowance or count as Dollars spent to qualify for Freight Saver or Free Shipping allowances. At checkout, we calculate every US address, both residential and commercial, and offer the current published FedEx Ground or Home Rate, without adder.

Freight Saver will appear as an option in your shopping cart on orders of $59 or more whenever it is lower than the actual zoned Ground FedEx Rate. We scan all rates including Commercial Rates if you are shipping to a recognized non-home-based business address.

DO NOT select Freight Saver if your order is time sensitive as it may delay your order by a couple of days. Orders are staged so that Overnight and Second Day orders ship ahead of Ground and Priority Mail Orders. The slowest methods to select are Basic Economy and Freight Saver, which ship last. Freight Saver orders are packed on a time and space available basis without overtime at the lowest cost service by our choice of carrier(s).

Certain products are not qualified for Free Shipping or a Freight Saver Allowance. When mixing Freight Saver Qualified products and Cost Plus No Freight Saver products, we allow you to check out as a single order but your shipments may be separated.

Orders shipping to Canada
Canadian orders are subject to VAT, duty and brokerage charges, not included in our shipping charges on site. The customer is responsible for VAT, duty and brokerage fees. Smaller orders shipping to Canada may ship by US Postal Service who connects with Canada Post and charges VAT and duty only, saving you brokerage fees. DO NOT ORDER ITEMS BANNED BY CANADIAN CUSTOMS, i.e. insecticides. It is the customer's responsibility for confiscated items. If uncertain about the legality of a product in your locale, check first.

We use Bongo International for International Orders other than Canada, United States Possessions, APO, FPO, DPO & US Territories.
