Returns: All returns must be requested within 15 days from order and must arrive at our warehouse within 25 days of our ship date. Only new re-saleable merchandise in its original packaging can be returned. Items torn off cards, used, or re-taped will be discarded and no credit issued. Returns must be made to the address(es) shown on the Return Authorization (RA). A copy of our emailed RA as well as the packing slip from your order should accompany the return. For an RA please call customer service toll free 866-466-2005 Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time.
Returns of resalable restockable items (not Special Order, Quotation Based, Limited Stock, or Closeout) requested and received on time will be credited in full, minus any previous freight discounts or allowances. Orders shipped at Freight Saver or free and or subsidized rates will be credited after regular UPS or USPS shipping charges are deducted.
Quantity pack items: sold only in quantity packs or at a minimum purchase level may be returned only in multiples of the quantity pack. Returns less than that quantity will be discarded and no credit issued.
Partial Returns: Items held originally purchased at a quantity price will be re-priced at the higher individual price.
Special Order Warehouse: Returns of items marked Special Order are returnable for STORE CREDIT ONLY. Delayed returns are not acceptable.
Special Purchase, Closeout and Limited Stock items are returnable for STORE CREDIT ONLY. Delayed returns are not acceptable.
Drop Shipment: Returns of Items which are drop shipped from the factory such as greenhouses, plans, hammocks and quantity quotation orders are subject to differing rules. If they are not shown on the product page of the item, you may call customer service or our contract sales department for details.
Price Quotation and Contract: Contract and Quotation Orders are normally not returnable.
Return Authorizations: Please call our Customer Service Department Toll Free at 866-466-2005 from 9 AM until 4:30 PM Eastern Time Monday thru Friday for a return authorization (RA). It will be sent to your email address with detailed instructions. This includes the address the return must be shipped to. Credits are issued minus any previous freight discounts or allowances.
Note: It does not pay to return large, bulky or heavy items where additional packing or shipping surcharges are involved. Returns must be properly packed and insured against loss and damage. A copy of our emailed RA as well as the packing slip from your order must accompany the return. Please plainly mark the reason for your return on the accompanying paperwork. Credits for merchandise returned do not include the original or return freight charges.
Delayed Returns and Returns Without Pre-Authorization: If you delay the return the goods so it will reach us after 25 days or you do not call our Customer Service Department and get a return authorization (RA) before returning merchandise, and you simply ship products back, a 50% Return Charge will be applied and a credit issued for the balance. Late returns on Alternate Warehouse and Special Order items will not be credited.
If there is a quality problem: Hardware and Tools buys only first quality merchandise from reputable suppliers. Licensing laws mean defective videos or DVD's are replaced with a new sealed copy of the same video/DVD only. We pick up and replace defective products only if the manufacturer's policy approves and only when notified within 15 days of shipment. Damages in transit should be reported within 3 days of receipt. Manufacturers of appliances, power tools, gas operated tools, electronics and more may require certain goods be serviced. We are not responsible for freight charges in excess of standard ground. The selection of any optional Air or Expedited Service in original or replacement orders is at your expense and risk. Do not return goods to us that are not new and resalable.
