Hxp batteries are equipped with a current interruption detection system, thermal protector and an electronic switch to protect battery against overcharge and discharge. Weighs over 50 percent lig hter than an average nicd battery. Overall battery life is extended 3 times longer than nicd and nimh batteries. (Hxp batteries have a recharge life of approximately 1,300 to 1,500 times as opposed to an average of 500 times for nicd or nimh batteries). Backwards compatible: hxp batteries work with hitachi's current dmr and dvf3 series 18 volt cordless tools. Use with: universal charger 280.6651.
