Arc fault circuit breakers plug-on - single pole combination ch- 3/4 inches wide amp rating=15 Plug-on combination type arc fault circuit breakers, 10,000 amperes interrupting capacity. Combination type arc fault circuit interrupter includes all of the protection offered by the branch feeder AFCI (mitigation of parallel arcing faults in the complet e circuit, including connected cords). In addition it provides direct detection of persistent low current arcing faults down to 5 amps with associated mitigation of fire hazards in the cords connected to the outlets. Parallel arcing faults can occur from line to neutral or line to ground. These arcing faults are in parallel with the load and produce the most energy of all arcing faults. The current level of low current arcing faults is limited by the load.
The National Electrical code requires all circuits feeding dwelling areas in residential structures to be protected by combination type arc fault circuit interrupters. Eaton's type CH (3/4 in) combination AFCI is available in 15 A and 20 A configurations. Eaton has also included a diagnostic LED as a standard feature in the CH AFCI which indicates the most recent trip code to assist in troubleshooting.
