How much clearance is required between the door frame, floor and the doors, top and bottom and door frame edge to edge of door?
I am attempting to install two, almost full length solid wood doors using café pivot hinges. I have cut a door in half length-wise so that instead of requiring 32 inches of radius to open they will use 16 inches. Currently the doors fit the complete doorway from top to bottom and side to side and use conventional hinges that open one way.
I’m trying to figure out how much I have to take off the length and the width of each door to be able to use your pivoting hinges and have the doors swing both ways..Asked on 3/26/2012 by Unhinged from Binghamton, NY1 answer

tried to find hinges to match vintage hinges on other vintage swinging doors I hung. These work great though and is located in bathroom off of bedroom. Visitors cannot compare.
